Compton, California: One person was killed, and multiple people shot near Compton College during a party on Friday night. One person has been declared dead, and several others have been sent to the local hospital.

Their conditions are currently unknown. According to the Compton Sheriff’s Station, the incident occurred at a home near Greenleaf Boulevard and South Mayo Avenue.

Five people were shot in total on Friday night, including one man and three women who were transported to a local hospital. Their conditions remain unknown.

On the campus of a nearby Catholic college, a graduation ceremony was underway, starting around 6 o’clock. It is unclear if any of the graduates were connected to the shooting.

The party took place in the backyard, where five people were shot, with one person killed and four others transported to a local hospital.

According to news agency ktla, the incident took place around 8 pm. Footage from Sky5 shows police surrounding a house with a large backyard.
